Julienne Guilbeault Rabor, a 10 year resident of Santa Barbara County, California, died on Tuesday, December 28th, 2004, at age 36 (1968 - 2004). After surviving over 46 months with 4th stage Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC), Julienne did succumb to respiratory failure at 11:45 AM.

She was the mother of Jade and Jacqueline Rabor, the wife of Donald Lewis Rabor, the daughter of Gina Iacoponi Clark and Philip George Guilbeault, and the spirit of her community.

Julienne was born on December 18th, 1968, at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Her childhood was spent on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where she attended Centerville Elementary School. She attended Moore Junior High School in Portland, Maine and West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Florida, where she graduated with honors in 1986.

In January of 1987, Julienne joined the United States Air Force and received training as a computer programmer, she was honorably discharged in August of 1989.

Julienne began her college career in the Fall of 1990 at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She became a resident of the state of Hawaii, joined the Hawaii Air National Guard, and obtained the degree,
Julienne Guilbeault Rabor 12.18.1968 - 12.28.2004 Bachelor of Science Chemistry with Distinction, on December 19th, 1993. Shortly after, Julienne and Donald stood in the warm waters of Hanauma Bay, Hawaii, exchanged vows and kissed for the first time as husband and wife at sunrise on the morning of November 4, 1993.

Julienne returned to the U.S. mainland, having been accepted into graduate school at the University of California Santa Barbara. On June 12th, 1998, the regents of the University of California conferred upon her the degree of Master of Arts in Chemistry.

While attending UCSB, the majority of her time as a graduate student was spent in laboratory instruction as a Teaching Assistant, student advocate, and scholarly author. Following graduate school, Julienne began her career as an educator at Santa Barbara City College.

Then in 1999, as the lights were about to go out around the world, Julienne gave birth to identical twins on November 11th.

An inspiration to many, Julienne left without defeat, regret, or sorrow. In her final 7 weeks, she celebrated her 11th wedding anniversary, her children's 5th birthday, Thanksgiving at her home, her 36th birthday, and Christmas before departing.
